Prenatal Classes
Take advantage of free prenatal education classes available to expectant parents. These monthly classes take place during evenings and weekends to fit your schedule. All classes meet in the downstairs classroom of UNC Health Rockingham hospital.
Preparing for Childbirth
Get ready for labor and delivery of your baby at UNC Health Rockingham. You and your partner will learn what to expect during different stages of labor and delivery. The class covers:
- What to expect during labor
- Birthing process
- Pain management and comfort techniques
- Postpartum self-care and emotional changes
- Basic newborn care, including diaper changing and bathing
This class includes a tour of the UNC Health Rockingham Birthing Center and a take-home childbirth handbook.
Breastfeeding Basics
As a breastfeeding-friendly hospital, UNC Health Rockingham supports breastfeeding. Attend our class to learn the foundations of breastfeeding before your baby arrives. The class goes over:
