The UNC Health Rockingham Foundation is a non-profit foundation which exists to support the patients and services of UNC Health Rockingham.
Your Support Matters
Reimbursements from state, federal, and private health insurance plans are shrinking—even as health care costs increase. 30% of patients at UNC Health Rockingham have government-funded insurance, the reimbursement rates of which are lower than those of commercial insurance providers. More than 13% of adults in Rockingham County—about 8,000 people—have no insurance at all.
Your gift helps UNC Health Rockingham continue providing life-saving care, regardless of patients' ability to pay.
You Are Making an Impact
The generous support of our donors has allowed the UNC Health Rockingham Foundation to raise funds for a variety of projects. Recently, the Foundation has provided funding for:
- Two Life-Saving Training Mannequins for life support certification programs
- Emergency Ring Rescue Removal Kit for the Emergency Department (ED), which decreases patient swelling, anxiety and potential pain, and reduces overall patient wait times in the ED
- Two radiation slant boards for breast cancer patients, a shoulder retractor with hand grips to aid in diagnostic imagining and treatment, and a Vac-U-Fix for prostate cancer patients at UNC Cancer Care at Eden;
- Two Certified Nurse Aide I Scholarships at Rockingham Community College
- Patient Assistance and Employee Compassionate Care Funding for numerous patients and several employees to provide for emergent needs.
